Penetrating oil is good for stuck slides and rods where corrosion or rust might be hindering removal. Dab some penetraiting oil in the crack opening of the part and let sit. Warm with a heat source if desired. repeat until part is removable. Clean thoroughly when done & lubricate appropriately.
